School years 7 –11

A free club for young people in school years 7 to 11, Trail Blazers starts with the opportunity to socialise and catch up with friends over table games air hockey or table football. We have a tuck shop where they can purchase sweets up to their consumption or funding limit, whichever comes first! Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the evening. The programme continues with a time of chatting about the week gone by and talking to God about things that have gone well or are of concern. After a short talk or video and time of discussion the evening usually concludes with some kind of zany team challenge where individual excellence and team victory are rewarded by insane prizes.

Although pitched at school years 7 to 11, often youngsters are reluctant to leave and are welcome to return at any time. There are also opportunities to assist as “Young Leaders” in other events the church runs and to take part in events the Wessex Synod runs, such as Youth Camp and Away-Days.
